Hello, I have seen solutions which require a lot of time for rendering of images as they do that only on the fly. Is this also happening with Picturepark? Thanks, Ric

Hello Ric,

I can understand your problem. Some solutions only render on the fly and do not pre-create derivatives. Picturepark does render some pre defined formats upfront, so that you have the file instantly available. Just compare and do a test run for a 150MB file - some solutions need up to 1 min to process. Picturepark will have it done initially and you will not need to wait for your downloads.

WOW - Duplicate Detection in Picturepark 8.1

Hi,

Today I have seen the first time the new duplicate detection of Picturepark 8.1 Digital Asset Management solution.

I have to say that the way the developers implemented the detection mechanism is simply stunning. You can bascially compare any value of a digital asset but also use the checksum mechanisms.

The import options even control what should happen if a duplicate is found in the uploaded media assets.

A big WOW and congrats to Picturepark. I have not seen a more powerful detection mechanism before in any other Digital Asset Management (DAM) solution.
